Job Description

About our role:

The Payroll Implementation & Compliance Specialist is a 12-month fixed-term position which will play a key role in the successful implementation of new HRIS and workforce management systems. This roles primary focus will be contributing to the payroll system and process improvements ensuring legislative compliance and supporting the successful delivery of payroll related projects. This role will combine specialist payroll expertise with project delivery skills ensuring both BAU payroll activities and key project milestones are met to high standard.

Responsibilities include:

System Process Improvements

  • Act as payroll subject matter expert in the in implementation of SuccessFactors HRIS working with the project team to ensure integration with SAP Payroll.
  • Lead user acceptance testing data migration and user training for the HRIS implementation.
  • Participate in system design configuration and testing to ensure payroll compliance and accuracy for the implementation of the time and attendance system.
  • Recommend enhancements to workflows and automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure new processes and systems embed compliance.

Compliance

  • Provide payroll subject matter expertise to complex compliance and process improvement projects.
  • Support the development of improved governance controls and reporting frameworks.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify and resolve system or process gaps impacting

BAU Payroll Support

  • Assist in data validation reporting and reconciliation tasks to support ongoing payroll accuracy.
  • Contribute to BAU payroll processing ensuring accuracy timeliness and compliance with legislation awards Lactalis enterprise agreements and Lactalis policies

About you:

The Payroll Implementation & Compliance Specialistrole requires a blend of leadership technical expertise and strategic thinking. Candidates must have:

  • 57 years of relevant experience in Payroll HR or Industrial Relations.
  • end-to-end payroll processing expertise recent involvement in payroll system implementation or integration projects and a strong understanding of Australian industrial relations including modern awards enterprise agreements taxation and superannuation legislation.
  • a Diploma in Payroll HR or Law is preferred though equivalent industry experience is acceptable.
  • proficiency in SAP and SuccessFactors is highly regarded along with demonstrated capabilities in user acceptance testing (UAT) data migration validation and payroll reporting.
  • The successful candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to manage competing priorities in a project environment in the next12 months.
