Job Summary
We are seeking talented Network Troubleshooting Specialists to join our technical support this role you will be responsible for identifying diagnosing and resolving complex network issues leveraging your expertise in scripting tools and security technologies. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment excels at debugging distributed systems and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify troubleshoot and debug network-related problems in real-time ensuring minimal downtime for customers.
- Write custom scripts and automate processes to streamline troubleshooting and resolution workflows.
- Utilize advanced network troubleshooting tools including command-line utilities like ping traceroute ipconfig/ifconfig nslookup and netstat to test connectivity and display network information; packet analyzers like Wireshark for in-depth traffic analysis; network scanners like Nmap to discover devices; and hardware tools such as cable testers to identify physical problems.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their environments reproduce issues and provide effective solutions.
- Handle complex configurations in distributed networks including multi-site deployments and hybrid cloud setups.
- Provide expert guidance on endpoint security and network infrastructure integrating with various technologies to resolve incidents.
- Document troubleshooting steps resolutions and best practices for knowledge sharing within the team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in network troubleshooting with a strong track record of solving customer problems in enterprise environments.
- In-depth knowledge of endpoint technologies including EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response) ZTNA (Zero Trust Network Access) Identity Management LDAP Active Directory (AD) ADFS Azure AD and similar systems.
- Expertise in network security appliances and tools such as firewalls IDS/IPS (Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems) data center networking gear inline and online devices DDoS mitigation WAF (Web Application Firewall) SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) proxies and related technologies.
- Hands-on experience managing complex configurations in large-scale distributed networks.
- High-level expertise in Linux server administration and Linux network administration including configuration optimization and security hardening.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Python Bash) for automation and diagnostics.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or in a team under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and internal stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
- Certifications such as CCNP CISSP CompTIA Security or Linux-specific credentials (e.g. RHCE).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).
- Experience in incident response or managed security services.
