About Us
Vital Virtuals LLC is a U.S.-based healthcare virtual staffing company providing trained Virtual Assistants to medical and dental practices. We are expanding our compliance and HR support in the Philippines and are seeking a detail-oriented legal/HR professional who can bridge U.S. operations with Philippine labor law requirements.
Role Overview
This is a part-time retainer-based position (approx. 10 hours/month). The Legal & HR Assistant will:
- Review and modify company agreements.
- Conduct onboarding sessions with new Virtual Assistants explaining terms of engagement and HR policies.
- Provide first-level HR support and conflict resolution.
- Liaise with local law firms as needed for representation or complex matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Review 5 existing company agreements and modify as per Vital Virtuals requirements.
- Draft/update HR policies and ensure compliance with Philippine labor law.
- Walk new hires through contracts terms of engagement and HR policies during onboarding.
- Address employee concerns disputes or policy-related questions.
- Maintain compliance documentation and templates (NDAs notices consultancy agreements).
- Track updates in Philippine labor regulations relevant to remote/BPO workers.
- Liaise with a local lawyer/firm for representation if formal legal support is needed.
Qualifications
- Licensed lawyer in the Philippines OR law graduate/paralegal with strong HR and labor law background.
- 2 years of experience in contract drafting HR compliance or employment law.
- Familiarity with Philippine Labor Code and BPO/outsourcing legal frameworks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience working with remote teams and international clients preferred.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Background in healthcare or healthcare staffing industry.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations (Philippines Data Privacy Act HIPAA basics).
- Experience creating employee handbooks and HR process documentation.
Compensation
- Retainer: 10 hours/month (fixed monthly rate; to be discussed based on experience).
