Your responsibility
- Lead chip development projects from concept to completion ensuring alignment across the entire product life cycle.
- Innovate cutting-edge III-V semiconductor laser designs.
- Conduct advanced electro-optical laser characterization interpret data and evaluate long-term reliability to ensure product excellence.
- Coordinate process development efforts in close collaboration with the manufacturing teams
- Support product and process engineers providing expertise in analyzing isolating and solving problems.
- Drive improvement processes to achieve performance and cost targets.
Your profile
- PhD degree in either physics optics or electrical engineering or a masters degree with more than 3 years of work experience in industry or research
- Technical background in semiconductor laser physics
- Experienced in semiconductor material processing e.g. lithography etching oxidation metallization and thin film deposition
- Experimental skills: familiar with the lab characterization of lasers and material analysis
- Project management skills: Experience in running projects with cross-functional teams is considered an asset
- Knowledge of modelling software and statistical tools (JMP MATLAB SQL) is desirable
- Programming experience with Python Labview and other programming languages is a plus
- Your excellent English (must) and German (preferential) language skills allow you to efficiently communicate at any level of the organization as well as with suppliers and customers.
