Job Description
Salary Range:$82796to $136848plus superannuation. Salary is determined based on years of teaching service.
Employment Status: Full-time 9-month contract
Eligibility:Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
Start Date:Monday 13 Oct 2025 Term Four

About the Role
The Science Teacher transforms the classroom into a space of scientific discovery where complex concepts spark curiosity and hands-on experiments fuel this role youll use innovative techniques and curriculum-aligned resources to make science accessible and inspiring weaving real-world applications into lessons to show students the wonders of science in everyday life. Through regular assessments and personalised feedback youll support each students journey tracking progress with care and celebrating milestones along the way. By collaborating and communicating with colleagues and parents youll create a strong support network around each are committed to your professional growth and you will have ongoing professional development and accreditation opportunities toexpand your expertise and stay at the forefront of educational best practices to bring fresh insights and boundless enthusiasm to the classroom.
This appointment is temporary as it is to replace an employee who is on parental leave and the incumbent is entitled to return to work early in accordance with the Fair Work Act 2009.

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching
- ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration
- ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration
