BUILDING: Hazel Park High School

POSITION: Spanish World Language Teacher / FTE 1.0

EFFECTIVE: 2025/26School Year

Hazel Park Schools is seeking applicants for the position of Hazel Park High School Spanish World Language Teacher for the 2023/2024 school year. The school is served by a caring and professional teaching staff providing instruction to approximately 600 students. The Hazel Park community is proud and supportive of its schools the staff and student population.

Specific Qualifications:

Valid Michigan Teaching certificate
Must possess a secondary teaching certificate with an FF endorsement
Demonstrate a written and spoken fluency of the Spanish language

Job Responsibilities:

Create instructional resources for use in the classroom
Plan prepare and deliver instructional activities
Create positive educational climate for students to learn in
Meet course and school-wide student performance goals
Participate in ongoing training sessions
Create lesson plans aligned with common core and modify accordingly throughout the year
Provide grades and administer assessments timely
Create projects and activities that are designed to create higher level thinking
Read and stay abreast of current topics in education
Utilize district curriculum resources
Tutor students on an individual basis
Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
Provide on-going communication to parents on student progress and classroom activities
Manage student behavior in the classroom by invoking approved disciplinary procedures

Compensation: Accordance with the Salary Schedule H.P.E.A. Contract
