HMR is a national contractor providing surface and underground diamond drilling raisebore and mining services.
Job tasks and responsibilities
With the expansion of our services an opportunity exists for a Safety and Training Superintendent who will be responsible for providing SHET support to our projects across the country and in particular the WA goldfields region.
Reporting to the SHET Manager this role requires familiarity with AS/NZS 1SO45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems development and implementation experience crafting standards and procedures facilitating incident investigations systems auditing skills and the ability to lead and deliver on risk management strategies.
Skills and experience
In order-to be considered for this position you must:
have a current and valid manual drivers licence
be willing to complete a national police check
hold a Certificate IV or higher in WH&S and TAE40116
hold a Certificate in ICAM investigations
hold auditing qualifications relevant to Management Systems (advantageous)
be willing and able to work autonomously
be willing to travel regularly to regional and remote areas
have current proven experience in a safety and training position within the mining industry
be comfortable working in dynamic environments having the ability to assess and re-prioritise work tasks.
