Job Description

EHS Safety Officer at Leading Cement Manufacturer

Lead and grow a crucial EHS function within a dynamic and stable cement manufacturing company in Ludhiana Punjab.

Role Role & Responsibilities

You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive EHS programs ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and promoting a safe and healthy work environment. You will lead the team in identifying and mitigating safety hazards conducting regular inspections and providing training to employees. This is a key leadership role with a significant impact on the companys safety culture.

Main tasks include
  • Lead the development and implementation of EHS programs aligned with industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees at all levels.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on EHS performance.
  • Collaborate with management to integrate EHS considerations into all aspects of operations.
  • Stay current on relevant EHS regulations and best practices.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in EHS preferably within the cement manufacturing industry.
  • Diploma or equivalent qualification in a relevant field (e.g. safety engineering environmental science).
  • Proven ability to develop and implement EHS programs.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant Indian EHS regulations.
  • Excellent communication interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in conducting safety training and audits.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis.
