Job Summary: Support complex EHS projects to advance Caterpillars research and development within the Cat Technology Division. This role focuses on improving EHS standards systems programs and procedures for R&D.
What You Will Do:
- Identify environmental health and safety (EHS) hazards in research and development and set protection guidelines.
- Ensure EHS training meets regulatory and organizational requirements.
- Audit EHS programs for compliance with company standards and regulations.
- Monitor EHS metrics report issues to leadership and recommend improvements.
What You Will Have:
Risk Management:
- Produces and interprets safety risk assessments and management reports.
- Implements or manages risk management.
- Evaluates risk assessment models and techniques relevant to research and development activities.
Collaborating:
- Demonstrates experience participating in productive collaborative processes.
- Assists in communicating shared goals with diverse groups and parties.
- Helps promote collaboration across generations functions regions and levels.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking:
- Differentiates assumptions perspectives and historical frameworks.
- Evaluates historical data for insights to improve decision-making process.
- Assesses and validates decision options and points and predicts their potential impact.
Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Policy Compliance:
- Trains employees on EHS policy compliance and measures understanding.
- Collaborates across multiple departments to facilitate EHS management.
Considerations For Top Candidates:
- Professional certification such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) preferred
- 4-year degree or extensive experience in EHS policy compliance
Additional Details:
- Up to 25% travel which can include both Domestic and International
Summary Pay Range:
$110520.00 - $165840.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjob-related knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
