Job Description

Salary Range:$70000-$80000annually

Position Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist role is a full time position working closely with the Human Resources Manager to coordinate and administer all aspects of the HR function to include recruitment employee relations training and development performance management affirmative action and benefits initiatives. This role interprets and executes policies and procedures and provides support in establishing and administering company-wide initiatives. The HR Generalist advises on tasks projects and operations and is actively involved in problem-resolution. Efficiency is key for success in this position.


Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Actively involved in helping employees with benefit selections and paperwork for enrollment. Works with our broker to coordinate all benefit enrollments with providers
Payroll Processing-approve timesheets and process payroll through Sage300
Develops and maintains affirmative action program; maintains records reports and logs to meet EEO regulations
Manages employee relations issues including but not limited to: working with the HR Manager to conduct investigations make appropriate corrective action recommendations and provide advice to management on methods and approaches to resolve employee performance issues.
Assists in identifying training needs and conducts training classes as needed
Interprets and explains personnel policies to employees and leadership
Coordinates performance management process including reviewing and tracking completed performance reviews
Assures that the company employment safety labor relations personnel and equal opportunity policies and practices comply with the applicable provisions of federal and state labor laws including the maintenance of necessary files etc.
Maintains personnel files end employee personnel action notices in compliance with applicable legal requirements
Presents onboarding information to new employees and completes all applicable onboarding paperwork for benefits payroll and compliance.
Maintains company organization charts
Administers various HR programs such as leave of absence benefits unemployment insurance claims e-verify etc.
Processes personnel action forms and assures proper approvals; disseminates approved forms and makes changes in Sage HRMS system to update employee records
Participates in developing department goals objectives and systems
Assists in evaluation of reports decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches policies and procedures to effect continuous improvements in efficiency of department and services performed


Position Requirements:
Bachelors Degree and 2 years relevant HR experience preferred or any equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
Professional inHumanResources(PHR) certification preferred
Proficiency in using a variety of computer software applications especially Excel Power Point Visio Outlook and Microsoft Word software.
Preferred working knowledge of Applicant Stack recruiting program and SAGE HRMS system.
High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
Ability to maintain and build employee trust through confidentiality
Ability to consistently meet deadlines
Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration and office administration procedures
Understanding of applicable employment law and compliance to federal and state regulations
Ability to operate standard office equipment
Attention to detail in composing typing and proofing materials establishing priorities and meeting deadlines
Excellent interpersonal communication skills both written and oral with the ability to communicate to all levels of employees leadership and external parties.
Demonstrated time management skills including ability to manage conflicting priorities in a high-pressure environment while still maintaining a customer-oriented focus
