Project Launch: In the initial phase of the project you will be responsible for thoroughly reading understanding and analyzing the Project Contract specifically in relation to Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) requirements. You will ensure that the project team is informed about these requirements by communicating them during function kick-off meetings involving all stakeholders such as suppliers and internal teams. Additionally you will define the project-specific processes and documentation needed to meet both contractual and customer requirements. By consolidating lessons learned from previous projects you will take proactive steps to prevent potential issues in the future. Working closely with the Project Director you will define a comprehensive strategy for Quality Assurance and risk identification translating identified risks into actionable mitigation plans for the project functions. You will also prepare the Project Quality Plan and Inspection Test Plan (ITP) securing customer approval and ensuring communication to relevant functions for effective execution.
Project Execution: your role will focus on ensuring compliance with project processes and tools such as PGR PMR R&O DR NCR and CoQ. You will coordinate and drive mitigation efforts to reduce project risks and prevent defects from occurring or escaping during execution. Another key responsibility is the preparation of the Inspection and Test Plans (ITP/ITPPs) in accordance to the contract requirements and coordination of quality inspections in alignment with the ITP in collaboration with the customer and supply chain to ensure adherence to quality and contract requirements. You will oversee the preparation and delivery of the projects databook ensuring that all quality records are in compliance with customer requirements submitted timely and approved. Additionally you will monitor project performance through key metrics such as the Voice of the Customer (VoC) score defect escape rates and the cost of non-quality and take necessary actions to improve results. You will lead the VoC process ensuring periodic customer feedback is collected and addressed appropriately.
Site Preparation: You will be responsible for adapting the projects best practices to ensure smooth execution. This includes supporting the Site Leader and Site Manager in preparing all necessary resources for successful site operations. You will assist in coordinating training programs ensuring personnel qualifications are met and ensuring that all relevant information is provided to the team. Your goal will be to ensure that the site is fully equipped and ready for efficient and high-quality execution.
Site Execution:your responsibilities will include ensuring that all activities are carried out according to GE requirements including the maintenance of valid documentation and adherence to the control plan. You will oversee the qualification of staff and the proper maintenance of tools including calibration parameter recording and ensuring qualifications for specific tasks such as measurement welding and painting are met. Additionally you will ensure that all quality records are accurately completed in accordance with the control plan and facilitate coordination with third parties and customers to ensure compliance. As part of your oversight you will perform regular process audits at the site which will include verifying the control and distribution of documents testing and measurement devices and the proper storage and preservation of materials. You will also assess critical processes like welding painting and material traceability while ensuring that personnel qualifications for special processes are up to date. You will also be responsible for supporting the preparation of documentation to protect GE in the event of third-party claims. Furthermore you will ensure that the process from Red Mark to As-Built documentation is executed thoroughly ensuring all final documentation is accurate and complete.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial preferred)
Experience: Strong background in Quality Project Management or Site Operations with solid industrial knowledge in manufacturing environments ideally including casting forging welded structures machining operations and assembly.
Demonstrated rigor in compliance quality assurance and EHS standards.
Language: Fluency in English and Spanish both written and spoken.
