None/Not RequiredCollins Aerospace is looking to hire an Senior EMI Technician to fulfill an Electromagnetic Interference and Compatibility (EMI/EMC) technician role with our Analysis and Test group in Burnsville MN. The Analysis and Test group is comprised of several analysts subject matter experts test engineers and test technicians that support the environmental test lab EMI/EMC lab wind tunnel testing labs and engineering labs; all of which are located within Burnsville. These labs support research and development and the qualification of all parts manufactured at the site.
This is an onsite position located in Burnsville Minnesota. Relocation assistance is not available.
What you will do:
- Provide support for Electromagnetic Interference and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMI/EMC) testing
- Provide support to internal customers in the EMI/EMC laboratory
- Utilize in-house software and hardware to run EMI/EMC testing
- Maintain calibration scheduling and hands off equipment for calibration
- Assist with troubleshooting customer failures in emission RF susceptibility transient testing and power quality
- Safely perform high voltage transient testing and high-power RF testing
- Document testing accurately
- Test accurately according to customer test plans and regulatory standards
Qualifications you must have:
- Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
- U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Previous technical testing experience is required.
- Working knowledge with test equipment such as spectrum analyzers signal generators oscilloscopes vector network analyzers required.
Qualifications we prefer:
- Excellent interpersonal skills and customer focus
- Previous experience working in the aerospace industry
- Proficiency with computers
