Job Description
Position Overview:
The City of Prince Albert invites applications for the permanent position of Water Treatment Plant Relief Operator.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Water Treatment Plant Manager primary duties will include performing repair and maintenance work at the Water Treatment Plant. This position acts as relief for Water Treatment Plant Operators. The Relief Operator is next in line to fill Operator positions when they become vacant.
The successful candidate will be expected to work effectively with limited supervision in exercising sound independent judgment in making decisions and resolving work problems.
Required Qualifications:
- Post-Secondary Diploma in a relevant science or engineering discipline (OR) current Class 2 Certification in Water Treatment;
- Maintain an independent course of study (supported by the City) to achieve a Class 4 Water Treatment Plant Operators Certificate within 5 years;
- Grade 12 education
- Valid Drivers License
