Seeking an experienced leader to direct global trade compliance strategy across all business units. This role ensures adherence to import/export regulations manages denied party/sanction screening develops compliance policies and partners cross-functionally to align trade compliance with organizational goals while mitigating risk in a complex regulatory environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead global trade compliance function setting objectives improving processes and aligning regional teams.
Provide expert guidance on international trade regulations sanctions and risk management.
Ensure accuracy and consistency in tariff and export control classifications valuations and Free Trade Agreement activities.
Oversee audits investigations corrective actions and government reporting.
Serve as delegated authority for registrations licenses and regulatory filings (e.g. ITAR EAR).
Manage third-party brokers consultants and compliance software providers.
Build strong relationships with government agencies and external counsel.
Develop and deliver global trade compliance training programs.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in international business law supply chain or related field (advanced degree preferred).
810 years of global trade compliance or related regulatory experience including leadership.
Expertise in HTS classification export controls Incoterms customs compliance and sanctions.
In-depth knowledge of U.S. and international trade regulations (EAR ITAR FTR etc.).
Proven success managing global teams compliance programs and regulatory audits.
Strong analytical communication and leadership skills.
U.S. Person under ITAR; ERP and trade compliance software experience (SAP preferred).
Multilingual skills a plus.
