Job Description
The Lead Cloud Engineer is responsible for overseeing the design implementation and management of the
cloud infrastructure defining cloud architecture standards ensuring security and compliance optimizing
cloud costs and driving innovation within the cloud environment working closely with other technical teams to
integrate cloud solutions across the enterprise.
Key responsibilities include architecting scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure using best practices
considering factors like cost optimization performance and security.
Monitors cloud usage identifies cost savings opportunities and implements strategies to optimize cloud spend.
Implements robust security measures ensuring adherence to industry regulations and compliance standards.
Expertise on leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to automate cloud infrastructure and management.
Monitors cloud systems for performance issues identifying bottlenecks and troubleshoots complex
cloud-related problems.
Deep expertise in AWS and Azure strong understanding of cloud computing principles including network storage
compute and security experience with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation proficiency in scripting languages
like Python or PowerShell.
The Lead Cloud Engineer has direct past experience within two (2) years of a candidate being on-board in the position.
It is required that the Lead Cloud Engineer has the following qualifications:
Possess a Bachelors degree in IT Computer Science Information Systems Management or a related field
at time of proposal submission.
Possess a minimum of six (6) years of recent experience providing cloud engineering support similar to the
work described PWS and compliance with industry best practices including cloud native approaches using technologies
like Containers Kubernetes and Microservices.
Possess an AWS certification.
Possesses leadership skills to manage and mentor a team of cloud engineers and strong communications and collaboration
skills to work effectively with cross functional teams within the last two (2) years.
Possess a minimum of six (6) years of recent experience providing cloud engineering support similar to the
work described PWS and compliance with industry best practices including cloud native approaches using technologies
like Containers Kubernetes and Microservices.
Possess an AWS certification.
