YOUR ROLE As the Director of Prevention you will be part of a collaborative Leadership Team partnering with the directors of Child Welfare Counseling and Development to promote all aspects of OMNI in our community. By managing a robust multi-team department youll drive prevention services and public health initiatives that touch the lives of more than 72000 individuals every year leaving a lasting mark on the communities we serve. This role involves fostering meaningful relationships with your team members as well as funders other organizations and individuals in OMNIs communities conceptualizing and planning prevention programming ensuring accurate financial reporting and managing critical grants. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES - Provide supervision and enhancement of public-health focused programs that improve community health and quality of life
- Manage a multi-team/multi-program department with knowledge of various programs objectives and grants
- Foster strategic partnerships with community organizations and schools for program growth and improved impact
- Monitor and assess staff performance providing consistent feedback with an emphasis on professional development and implementing any necessary changes to improve team performance
- Meet or exceed all program deliverables timelines goals and objectives.
- Update leadership regularly on program progress
- Identify and write relevant grants (competitive and renewal) that sustain and expand OMNIs prevention work
- Support implementation of the Long-Range Strategic Plan with innovation and clarity
- Develop and manage department budgets expenditures and monthly forecasts for reporting
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS Were looking for a leader who pairs passion for public health with the skills to lead a team and department forward. - Masters degree in public health education or management (preferred) with 3 years relevant experience OR Bachelors degree with 5 years relevant experience
- Experience with project leadership and management that results in program growth and improved community health
- Experience with team leadership/supervisory roles (public health and/or education preferred)
- Experience with grant writing
- Proven ability to develop and monitor budgets with accuracy
- Desire to develop uplift and empower team members through positive strength-based leadership
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with understanding of cultural competency
- Ability to manage multiple data systems and reports
- Eagerness to learn and continue growing as a professional
- A genuine passion for improving community health through prevention
