Job Description

The ASB Bookkeeper is responsible for the accurate financial management of the Associated Student Body (ASB) funds at the middle school. This position ensures compliance with district state and legal regulations while supporting student-led activities clubs and events. The ASB Bookkeeper serves as the financial liaison between students advisors administration and district accounting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate accounting records of all ASB funds including student clubs activities and events.

  • Process deposits disbursements and reimbursements in compliance with district and state regulations.

  • Prepare and issue checks receipts and purchase orders for ASB-related expenditures.

  • Monitor and reconcile ASB accounts regularly; prepare monthly and year-end financial reports.

  • Assist student leaders club advisors and the ASB Advisor with budget planning and financial procedures.

  • Provide training and guidance to students and staff regarding proper ASB financial practices.

  • Maintain files of contracts invoices fundraising approvals and purchase requests.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls audit requirements and district policies.

  • Attend ASB or student council meetings as needed to provide financial updates.

  • Support school events by coordinating ticket sales cash boxes and reconciliation of funds.

  • Perform related clerical and bookkeeping duties as assigned
