Who you are:
We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results! Geotab is seeking a Software Developer who will help build our Altitude suite of products. If you love technology and are keen to join an industry leader - we would love to hear from you!
What youll do:
As a Software Developer your key area of responsibility will be adding functionality and features on the front-end to our customer facing website. You will need to work closely with Product UX and other developers.
The opportunity:
- 8 12 or 16-month work-term beginning January 2026.
- Full-time paid internship: Monday - Friday37.5hrs/week.

How youll make an impact:
- Define design and implement new software applications in collaboration with other members of the development and technical teams based on industry standards and best practices.
- Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications.
- Perform Test-Driven and Security-Driven Development.
- Conduct comprehensive code reviews and ensure that coding standards are followed.
- Help maintain code quality organization and automation.
- Perform maintenance programming for existing applications.
- Consider the functionality performance scalability reliability realistic implementation schedules and system architecture for each assignment.
- Provide recommendations for improvements in the overall development process.
What youll bring to the role:
- Diploma/Degree specialization in Computer Science Electrical Software Engineering or a related field
- Experience programming with React JavaScript CSS and HTML
- Experience in Python TypeScript ES6 Vite GO Google Compute Engine Google BigQuery are an asset
- Working knowledge of Cloud computing experience is an asset
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Able to work well under pressure and respond to fast changing priorities and deadlines
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem-solve to well-judged decisions
- A strong team-player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization
- Technical competence using software programs including but not limited to Google Suite for business (Sheets Docs Slides)
