Our Opportunity
Grating Tasmania (a branch of Weldlok) is looking for a solutions-focused Despatch Officer who will be responsible for the despatch and receiving of goods within the workshop. This position is a full-time opportunity based in Derwent Park TAS.
Your daily duties will include but are not limited to:
- Scheduling transport for deliveries and pickups ensuring DIFOT is met.
- Complete all despatch dockets and ensure con-notes are accurate.
- Communicate with the Customer Service team and provide updates on the schedule for deliveries.
- Raise any issues related to the delivery of stock with the Operations Manager and Customer Service staff and work collaboratively to ensure
- Contribute to process improvement by identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions.
The RightPerson
This position is ideal for someone that has previously worked a warehouse/manufacturing position that is comfortable engaging with customers in a friendly and professional manner. You will also have:
- Min. 2 years experience within a customer service or transport scheduling position.
- Successful completion of School Certificate or equivalent.
- 3-5 years experience in a customer service position ideally in a manufacturing or trade environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with all stakeholders.
- Exposure to building construction manufacturing or other industrial backgrounds would be highly advantageous.
