Job Description
Bechtel Parsons Blue Grass is the systems contractor selected by the Department of Defenses Assembled Chemical Weapons Alternatives program to design build systemize test operate and close a facility to destroy the chemical weapons stockpile at the Blue Grass Army Depot in Richmond Kentucky. The Blue Grass Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant (BGCAPP) will safely destroy 523 tons of mustard and nerve agent in projectiles and rockets. Neutralization followed by supercritical water oxidation is the technology selected by the Department of Defense to destroy the nerve agent while the Explosive Destruction Technology will be used to destroy the mustard in the Blue Grass chemical weapons stockpile. Candidates for unescorted access to the Chemical Limited Area must successfully clear National Agency Check with Local Check (NACLC). All employees are subject to and agree to random drug and alcohol testing as a condition of employment. The ability to obtain/maintain access to the Blue Grass Army Depot is required. Must be physically fit and able to work safely at an operating plant.
Job Responsibilities
The purpose of the Senior Planner Scheduler is to perform construction schedule development maintenance monitoring and analysis of activities. Supports project organizational and administrative activities when delegated. Supervises planning/scheduling activities when delegated. Ensures work is completed as scheduled and identifies construction schedule-associated cost trends for management attention.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree from an accredited university with at least 10-13 years of professional experience or in lieu of degree a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 14-17 years professional experience.
Preferred requirements: Construction experience on large complex Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) jobs.
Previous Earned Value Management System experience on complex Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) jobs.
Demonstrated skill in identifying and analyzing issues and recommending corrective actions.
Flexibility to respond to urgent project requests and changing priorities.
This project is subject to the Army Regulations (AR50-6 Chemical Surety) which governs persons performing work under the Chemical Personnel Reliability Program (CPRP) and Unescorted Access Program (UAP). Depending on the work performed and the access granted a government security investigation and other physical requirements such as respirators may be mandated.
