Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
The Biology Department is seeking detail-oriented and motivated student workers to provide administrative support to faculty staff and departmental operations. This position offers the opportunity to gain professional office experience in an academic setting.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with front desk coverage answering phones and greeting visitors
Support faculty and staff with copying scanning and filing
Help organize departmental records and maintain office supplies
Assist in scheduling event preparation and departmental communications
Perform other clerical tasks as assigned
FEDERAL WORK STUDY REQUIREMENT
YES -- Federal Work Study eligibility required (check your 2025/26 Financial Aid Award Offer)
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Federal Work Study (FWS) eligibility is required
Current university student in good academic standing
Strong communication and organizational skills
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook)
Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Maintain filing system contacts database employee lists and inventories.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong time-management and multitasking abilities.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information
