About the Opportunity
Join a prestigious multi-accredited law firm with over 200 years of heritage serving the Yorkshire region. Were seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancer/Solicitor to join our successful Residential Property department offering exceptional career development opportunities within one of Sheffields leading legal practices.
The Role
Youll manage your own caseload of residential property transactions from instruction to completion working within our established conveyancing team whilst building strong client relationships and delivering the exceptional service our firm is renowned for.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing a varied caseload of residential property transactions independently
Handling freehold and leasehold sales purchases and re-mortgages from start to finish
Conducting property searches reviewing contracts and preparing legal documentation
Liaising professionally with clients estate agents mortgage lenders and other solicitors
Providing clear legal advice on property matters and potential issues
Facilitating exchange of contracts and coordinating completion processes
Preparing transfer deeds completion statements and post-completion formalities
Handling Land Registry applications and resolving any registration issues
Managing SDLT submissions and ensuring compliance with tax obligations
Building and maintaining strong client relationships through excellent service delivery
Mentoring junior staff and paralegals within the department Contributing to business development and networking activities
What Were Looking For
Qualified Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer with minimum 2 years PQE in residential conveyancing
Comprehensive knowledge of residential property law and conveyancing procedures
Experience managing own caseload with minimal supervision
Strong understanding of Land Registry requirements and property searches
Excellent client care and communication skills with professional approach
Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail
Proficiency in conveyancing case management systems and legal technology
Commercial awareness and ability to contribute to department growth
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously
