**Position is eligible for a hybrid-teleworking schedule to include weekly onsite work hours**

Administrative Specialist supports the Divisions of Employment & Independence for People with Disabilities (EIPD) Services for the Blind (DSB) and the Office of Economic Opportunity (OEO) by providing essential administrative and operational assistance. The role is primarily responsible for maintaining the inventory of state property used by the divisions processing small-dollar purchase requests and coordinating other procurement needs as required by the section.

In addition this position serves as a backup for the EIPD front desk ensuring seamless customer service and daily operations. This work is critical to supporting the divisions ability to deliver services effectively; failure to fill the position would create operational gaps impact service delivery and compromise the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) mission to support individuals and communities across the state.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

Fixed Assets:
  • Run FA/AP report in Xtnd daily and review FA inventory report monthly for accuracy
  • Ensure all equipment is accurate on the division inventory report
  • Coordinate and assign Fixed Asset Tags to equipment costing $500 or more.
  • Review and submit required Fixed Asset forms to Controllers office for processing.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding FA inventory
  • Maintain files of all FA files correspondence annual inventory etc.
Purchasing Administrative Support:
  • Assist with E-Procurement orders to meet day-to-day operational needs as requested in support of DEIPD DSB and OEO.
  • Assist with simple service maintenance agreements for field units and regional offices.
  • Position may be assigned other tasks as approved by the supervisor to provide administrative support as needed.
