Housing Specialist
Organization: COCAS (Commission on Culture and Society) & ME Living Inc.
Location: Georgia (Hiram base with community travel hybrid options available)

About Us
At COCAS & ME Living we provide housing therapy case management and reentry programs for individuals and families overcoming domestic violence homelessness incarceration and substance abuse recovery.
Housing is the foundation of stability. We are seeking a compassionate detail-oriented Housing Specialist to ensure clients have safe supportive housing and that our housing programs meet state and federal requirements.
Position Summary
The Housing Specialist will coordinate housing placements ensure compliance with housing program standards and provide direct support to residents. This role bridges the gap between property management and client services ensuring our housing remains both compliant and mission-driven.
Key Responsibilities

Assist clients with housing intake eligibility and placement.

Manage resident files agreements and lease compliance.

Coordinate with case managers and therapists to support residents.

Conduct housing inspections and maintain compliance with HUD state and organizational standards.

Address resident concerns and enforce program rules.

Track housing availability and maintain occupancy goals.
-
Support eviction prevention and conflict resolution when needed.
Skills & Competencies
-
Strong knowledge of housing programs HUD guidelines or supportive housing services.
-
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
-
Ability to maintain records accurately and handle confidential information.

Compassionate but firm in enforcing housing agreements.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Qualifications
-
High School Diploma or GED required; Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.
-
12 years housing property management or human services experience.
-
Knowledge of HUD transitional housing or supportive housing programs preferred.
-
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation required.
Compensation & Benefits
-
Pay: $16 $23 per hour (based on experience).
