Job Summary:
The AWS Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing cloud-based projects utilizing Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role involves overseeing the full project lifecyclefrom planning and execution to deliveryensuring alignment with business goals timelines and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Lead AWS cloud projects from initiation to closure.
Define project scope goals deliverables and timelines.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules.
Track milestones budgets and resource allocation.
Identify and mitigate project risks proactively.
Technical Oversight:
Collaborate with cloud architects engineers and developers.
Ensure AWS infrastructure is secure scalable and reliable.
Use AWS tools (e.g. EC2 S3 RDS) for deployment and monitoring.
Review and optimize existing cloud infrastructure.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Communicate project status to clients and internal stakeholders.
Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams and business units.
Coordinate with vendors and third-party service providers.
Team Leadership:
Provide guidance and mentorship to project team members.
Conduct training sessions on AWS services and best practices.
Supervise staff and manage cross-functional teams.
Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards.
Maintain comprehensive documentation (plans reports updates).
Lead process improvement initiatives (e.g. onboarding change management).
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science IT or related field.
310 years of experience in project management preferably in AWS environments.
Strong understanding of AWS services and cloud architecture.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Certifications:
AWS Certified Solutions Architect / Cloud Practitioner
PMP (Project Management Professional)
ITIL / ITSM Certification
- CSM (Certified ScrumMaster)
