Purpose: The Director of Operational Excellence will have responsibility to architect and deploy the Lean Business Operating System across the Jacksonville manufacturing plant. This role will have 4 direct reports and directly support the Lean Transformation of a $1.5B revenue site. This is an exciting opportunity to create and implement a groundbreaking process that will transform the operational landscape at Johnson & Johnson. and technology were developing the next generation of smarter less invasive more personalized treatments.

• Developing the Lean Business Operating System and overall strategy for transforming the organization including strategy deployment tools implementation and training.
• Leading the site Operational Excellence team and site leadership team through a process to systematically find opportunities to enhance operational performance and site business processes through internal/external benchmarking and continuous improvement tools.
• Aligning strategy with tactics for Lean deployment initiatives (Lean Roadmap).
• Utilizing data best practices and prior Lean deployment experience to identify performance gaps and collaborate with local leaders to develop and execute improvement plans.
• Facilitating impactful improvements through utilization of continuous improvement tools Kaizen funnel processes and systems to enhance plant safety quality efficiency cost and reduce waste.
• Creating Lean competencies in leaders and employees at all levels; identifying future Lean talent and coaching for career advancement opportunities.
• Identifying new product processes for appropriate Operational Excellence and Lean tool application.
• Understanding and applying financial drivers and key performance indicators.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelors Degree required Advanced degree preferred.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

• Lean Six Sigma Certification from an industry recognized program.
• 10 years of proven leadership skills and experience deploying an operating system for a multi-functional highly automated and complex supply chain manufacturing site.
• 5 years of direct people leader experience in a multi-functional organization.
• Experience with implementing Strategy Deployment/Hoshin across a business or for a division.
• Expert knowledge of Lean Methodology and implementing Lean tools including but not limited to: Visual Management Daily Management Transactional Process Improvement Standard Work/Leader Standard Work Problem Solving 6S Kaizen Value Stream Mapping 8 wastes Gemba walks etc.
• Strong business and financial acumen.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to transparently communicate and relate to people at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to analyze data draw conclusions make recommendations and present findings.
• Demonstrated ability to model corporate values and principles including instilling a high performance people-driven culture.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint etc.) and general computer skills.

• English Fluency required
• Travel up to 20% of the time domestically and/or internationally is required
