Job Summary

Maryville High School is seeking an Assistant Coach for the Track and Field Program.

Position: Assistant Girls Track Coach

Start date - Fall2025

Qualifications:

coaching experience preferred
Track experience at club high school or collegiate level preferred

Qualities:

Dynamic communicator and motivator of student-athletes
Develop and maintains a positive educational environment as the leader of the team.
Manage and supervise athletic activities contests and practice sessions to promote individual growth in athletic skills teamwork discipline respect and good sportsmanship.
Be present and active during any activity involving track and field athletes.
Coordinate the development promotion and retention for the Track and Field Program
Assist the head coach in running a regular practice schedule and practice plan along with other coaches to provide both individual and team development along with consistent implementation of expectations.
Assist student-athletes with college recruitment. Actively support student athlete post-secondary goals.
Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators governing organizations (TSSAA) opponents officials staff parents and students.
Incorporate best practices into a growth-oriented teaching/coaching style
Perform duties assigned to all coaches by administrators
Assist the head coach with development and management of the team budget strictly according to bookkeeping procedures.
Work with the administration to achieve district goals described within the Maryville City Schools Strategic Plan
