Senior Officer(Research Community Engagement and Digital Storytelling) ()
The Research Office (RO) seeks a dynamic team player skilled in community engagement and the creation of creative assets with a proven ability to useAI tools and trends to elevate HKBUs research community and amplify its academic successful candidate will join the RO and perform the following duties:
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute a portfolio of research activities (in-person virtual and hybrid) such asnetworking events seminars exhibitions symposiums thatare aimed atfostering a vibrant research community by creating meaningful attendee experiences managing post-event communication and implementing initiatives that encourage ongoing engagement and build long-termrelationships;
- Leverage research insights to conceptualise and produce compelling narratives ( clips graphics e-newsletters interactive assets). Manage vendor relationships to ensure high-quality execution for projects distributed across social media websites and research communications. Ensure all content transforms complex information into engaging stories that uphold brand identity and resonate with target audiences;
- Support the ongoing maintenance and enhancement project of the Research website. This includes performing basic content updates regular website audit and ensuring a consistent and accurate online presence that aligns with brand guidelines;
- Assist with committee work and administrative work within the team; and
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A recognised degree inCorporate CommunicationsCreative Mediaor related disciplines;
- At least four years of experience in event management and creation of creative assets preferably with exposure to academic ranking and research communications in higher education;
- High proficiency in design software such asAI tools/Canvais preferred;
- Proactive organised team player with project management skills strong communication and interpersonal abilities;
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team;
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); and
- Thrives in fast-paced environments effectively balancing priorities under tight timelines.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
