Lead the fight against STD/HIV as a Front Line Supervisor guiding a dedicated team of Disease Intervention Specialists. Six years of experience in disease investigation and prevention activities; OR
Three years of experience in investigatory work social services nursing or as a medical laboratory technician or assistant plus three years of experience in disease investigation and prevention activities; OR
A bachelors degree plus three years of experience in disease investigation and prevention activities; OR
An advanced degree in epidemiology public health in a biological science or nursing plus two years of experience in disease investigation and prevention activities.

Job Duties:
Supervise and guide Disease Intervention Specialists by reviewing data records assigning work coverage and coordinating program activities to meet timelines and documentation standards.
Provide orientation training and ongoing mentoring to staff to improve disease intervention prevention efforts and program performance.
Conduct monthly and quarterly performance assessments using program review tools to support staff development and program goals.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with public and private medical providers and laboratories to ensure timely reporting testing and treatment services.
Prepare detailed reports compile provider lists and complete surveys following site visits collaborating with the State STD/HIV Program Office to identify unreported providers and labs.
Communicate program goals clearly through presentations written documents and professional interactions with community partners stakeholders and internal staff
Location: Office of Public Health Region 1-BRCO This position is domiciled in Jefferson Parish and requires travel throughout Region 1: Jefferson Orleans Plaquemines and St. Bernard parishes.
