Job Description

Headquartered in Atlanta Georgia and founded in 1993 Precision Aviation Group (PAG) is a leading provider of maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) and value-added supply chain services to the aerospace and defense industries. With 25 FAA-approved repair stations 27 locations worldwide 1100 employees and over 1.2 million square feet of production/distribution facilities PAG offers comprehensive MRO services on over 200000 product lines. PAG supports operators in the Airline Business and General Aviation (BGA) Military and Rotary Wing markets through its Inventory Supported Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (ISMRO) business model.

JOB PURPOSE

The Material Assistant coordinates the receipt of NEW/Overhauled/AR addition to receiving this role includes distributing material in various conditions to the Production Team internally and externally and is involved with Inventory Cycle Counts. This position also requires good organizational and communication skills. This role serves as an important link between the Production Team Management and the Materials Team. The position requires high attention to detail accuracy and ability to work under pressure with Material requirement promptness.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assists and performs incoming visual receiving inspections records and tracks all received shipments
  • Performs inventory Cycle Counts
  • Responsible for the continuous supply of materials to one or more repair areas (Allocate and deliver components to technicians)
  • Issues Bench Stock inventory and assists in identifying future material needs due to inventory levels
  • Assists in managing inventory space optimizing material organization and cleanliness
  • Assists and recommends inventory improvements
  • Manages internal email submissions for internal material requirements and issuance
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Experience in material management or inventory control environment
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of warehouse/shop safety protocols
  • Familiarity with industry specific materials and products is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associates degree or equivalent work experience

WORKING CONDITIONS

Physical Demands: Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Requires frequent walking bending and reaching to shoulder level. Requires occasional squatting lifting carrying pushing or pulling weight up to 20 pounds. Requires repetitive hand movement. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

Work Location: Prime Turbines Carrollton TX.

Experience: At least 2 years of related experience in Aviation Industry or a related field preferred.
