About the role
Metro seeks a full-time Client Service Specialist to ensure excellent customer experiences for its Commercial Division. This dynamic role is ideal for candidates who enjoy people creating efficiencies and a fast-paced work environment.
Responsibilities
- Respond to customer requests in a friendly and timely manner via phone and email.
- Manage Metros Warehouse Management System to accurately process incoming and outgoing shipments and meet deadlines.
- Lead clerical duties including the completion and filing of paperwork scheduling appointments and managing inventories and databases.
- Work with General Manager to identify and record key processes and functions for use in
- employee training
- Help identify and engage prospective customers.
- Complete special projects including customer satisfaction reviews audit preparation and training schedules.
- Process print and and attach material tags on product.
- Complete inventory functions including the inspection counting and recording of inventory.
- Ensure product and materials are received and delivered on time and in accordance with established company policies and procedures.
- Make certain work area is clean secure and well maintained.
- Provide support for team members promoting trust-based relationships and a healthy working environment within and across departments.
- Ensure safety standards are updated and followed.
- Recommend and helps implement suggestions to improve processes policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent and three years of applicable full-time working experience.
- Computer skills (e.g. email communications Word Excel WMS online research etc.).
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems.
- Training in forklift operation and safety certification may be required.
- Familiarity with inventory receiving processing and storage procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to both operate independently and work collaboratively with others.
- Ability to stoop kneel bend crouch and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Must be able to work in both a traditional office setting and a refrigerated warehouse for extended periods of time.
- Experience booking and scheduling LTL/FTL transportation preferred.
