Job Description
Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a qualified Welder/Fabricator for a long-term day shift role in NW Portland OR. The person in this position will support a job shop specializing in large and intricate industrial machines weighing up to 100000 lbs.
Pay: $28$38/hour
Welder/Fabricator Responsibilities:
Ensure all safety procedures are followed and the proper PPE is in place
Weld with Hardwire MIG Fluxcore TIG and/or Stick as each project requires
Interpret blueprints weld symbols and procedures
Use grinders torches saws and other fabrication tools to prepare parts for fit-up
Tack weld assemblies and measure to ensure dimensional accuracy
Final weld parts in all postures and positions
Perform First Article Inspections.
Troubleshoot and resolve problems with fit up as they occur
Welder/Fabricator Qualifications:
Must have knowledge in rigging and crane safety
Minimum of 5 years experience with MIG TIG and Oxy-Fuel torch
Must have strong attention to detail
Familiarity and skill with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
Ability to work independently and closely follow directions is essential
Must have a positive and professional attitude
Available to work weekends and overtime when needed
Capable of standing for extended periods of time
Non-ferrous welding experience is a plus
