Van-Am Defense Systems is a custom manufacturer/fabrication shop located in Waverly IA. We are seeking strong welding/fabrication candidates to join our outstanding team!
We are seeking experienced Welders for 2nd SHIFT. Differential paid for Night shift!
Night Shift: 4:00 PM - 2:00AM Monday thru Thursday - $2/hr Shift Differential
Successful Welders will be responsible for welding components in flat vertical or overhead positions. This position requires a high level of skill and accuracy as well as a strong understanding of safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have a solid work history and the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
MIG with some TIG. Carbon and Stainless. Compensation is based upon skill and experience.
Welder Responsibilities:
- Operate welding equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Use a variety of welding techniques such as MIG TIG and arc welding.
- Perform maintenance on welding equipment and tools.
- Inspect welds for accuracy and quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Overtime opportunities available.
