Description Summary: Under the direction of our metals supervisor the ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components according to technical drawings and specifications. The production welder will work in a dynamic environment also assisting our R&D Department when needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Fabricate and weld metal components using techniques such as MIG welding
Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure accurate assembly
Operate forklifts to transport materials within the workshop
Utilize calipers and other measuring tools to ensure precision in fabrication
Work with sheet metal to create custom pieces
Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and solve fabrication issues
Job Skills and Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in MIG welding techniques
- Experience with TIG welding a plus
- Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of calipers and other measuring instruments for accurate fabrication
- Ability to weld steel and aluminum proficiently
- Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and resolve fabrication challenges
