MISSION: Unite donor passions with university priorities to elevate the impact of Oklahoma State University.
DEPARTMENT PURPOSE: Develop priorities and philanthropic strategies to cultivate engage solicit and steward donors alumni friends and others to raise major gifts for the College of Arts and Sciences.
PRIMARY PURPOSE: Build long-term philanthropic partnerships that advance the mission and strategic initiatives of OSU and the College of Arts and Sciences by securing major gifts through personalized donor engagement and fundraising strategies.
KEY AREAS OF FOCUS:
Major Gift Fundraising (40 percent)
- Responsible for both individual production goals and a portion of the College of Arts and Sciences fundraising goal
- Identify cultivate and steward prospects with capabilities of contributing at the major gift level
- Solicit 15-20 major gift asks (of $25000)
Effective Portfolio Management (30 percent)
- Qualify/Disqualify major gift donors for fundraising initiatives and priorities
- Manage a portfolio of 70-100 qualified donors
- Conduct 150 personal visits
- Manage personal travel budget
Donor Engagement and Stewardship (20 percent)
- Represent the OSU Foundation at University and community events promoting University priorities and a culture of philanthropy
- Collaborate to create and engage meaningful donor experiences and donor stewardship
Team and Organizational Contribution (10 percent)
- Actively participate in team meetings strategy sessions and professional development opportunities
- Support cross-campus collaboration by sharing best practices and coordinating donor strategies
- Contribute to achieving team and campaign goals ensuring alignment with the Universitys mission and strategic priorities
- Serve as OSU Foundation Liaison to assigned College departments

JOB COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE:
Education & Certifications-
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university. Masters degree preferred.
Experience-
- 1 year in major gifts or related experience required. Experience in a higher education setting preferred.
- Proven sense of humor and ability to have fun.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must use a computer terminal and view a computer screen for extended periods of time. Must talk in person or by phone (frequently and sometimes for extended periods) to people on campus and across the country. Must constantly use visual acuity to check printed and designed materials of various types. Must be able to navigate within the OSU Foundation. Typical office working conditions.
