Job Description

This is a foundational hands-on role. Youll be our first dedicated UI/UX Designer building the future of Lens designby doing the work and setting the vision.
As UI/UX Designer you will:
- Own and evolve the Lens visual identityfrom product UI to marketing visuals.
- Spearhead the implementation of our design system ensuring consistency and clarity across all parts of the Lens experience.
- Design world-class user interfaces especially for complex developer workflows in Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to shape feature designs and improve usability.
- Create high-quality Figma designs interactive prototypes and production-ready visuals.
- Craft visual assets for the product web events social docsanywhere Lens shows up.
- Champion UI/UX quality across the org and advocate for the user.
This is not a managerial or oversight roleyet. Youll be rolling up your sleeves and making it real. Over time youll help us shape what design means inside the Lens organization. Once weve got the foundations in place and momentum going we expect to expand the design teamand youll play a key role in shaping and leading that growth.
Qualifications :
- 5 years of experience in product design UI/UX or visual design ideally within fast-paced product organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement modern intuitive user interfaces with a focus on developer tools or complex software products.
- A portfolio that highlights visual sophistication design systems thinking and a polished executionwith a style aligned to the clarity precision and modern aesthetic of Lens.
- Proficiency in Figma including prototyping visual asset creation and design system development.
- Strong collaboration skills with experience working closely with product management and engineering to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Familiarity with or interest in conducting user research and usability testing and applying insights to drive design improvements.
- Bonus: Experience designing for desktop applications or web-based developer platforms.
