Job Description

MCS Maintenance Worker

Maryville City Schools is accepting applications for a maintenance worker specializing in HVAC and/or plumbing.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • EPA certification

Job Description:

The maintenance worker will perform general maintenance and repair of equipment buildings and grounds in the Maryville City School System.

The position requires practical knowledge problem-solving skills and interpersonal skills.

Work involves the following duties: troubleshooting and repair of HVAC equipment general knowledge of electricity wires switches fixtures and motors. Additional work may include plumbing light carpentry skills grounds maintenance operation of machinery and general interior and exterior building maintenance.

The position requires a high level of trustworthiness integrity and a willingness to learn new skills both technical and interpersonal. We will expect satisfactory work references.

An acceptable TBI fingerprint background check and drug screen test are legal requirements for anyone to be employed by the school system.

Relevant previous experience will be factored into the pay grade.

Must be able to physically climb crawl work in confined spaces and lift up to 50 pounds.

Workday is from 7:00-3:30 with a 30-minute lunch break.

Almost all work takes place in Maryville (No travel requirements.)
