A Day in the Life
Job Specific SummaryAt our Tempe Campus youll support mission-critical facilities that enable life-saving innovation and manufacturing. As a Facilities Maintenance Technician III youll play a key role in sustaining a safe reliable and inclusive work environment.
As a Maintenance Technician III you will:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC electrical mechanical and plumbing systems in a cleanroom and production facility.
Working within RODI Systems.
Troubleshoot complex systems and collaborate with Engineering Manufacturing and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) teams.
Respond to urgent building system alarms and prioritize work orders based on safety production and compliance needs.
Maintain and document equipment records using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
Ensure all tasks comply with OSHA Medtronic EHS standards FDA regulations and cGMP guidelines.
Support facilities projects including equipment upgrades utility installs and space reconfigurations.
Mentor and guide junior technicians as needed.
Promote a safe respectful and inclusive workplace.
First shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM M-F) with flexibility to cover other shifts (2nd 3rd and/or weekends) as needed.
Must Have Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
Nice to Have - Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with commercial or industrial HVAC plumbing mechanical systems or electrical systems.
Knowdge and experience working with RODI Systems.
Ability to read blueprints technical schematics and operating manuals.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Ability to work flexible hours including on-call rotations and occasional weekends.
Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (semiconductor medical device pharmaceutical aerospace etc.).
Working knowledge of building automation systems (e.g. Siemens Honeywell).
Familiarity with cleanroom protocols or ISO-classified environments.
EPA 608 Universal Certification or equivalent.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Commitment to inclusion collaboration and continuous learning.
