In this role you will support a broad portfolio of research projects by assisting with the full lifecycle of grants and contractsfrom proposal preparation to post-award compliance. Youll collaborate closely with faculty funding agencies and internal departments to ensure smooth efficient research operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and assist in management of grant proposals budgets and submissions.
Ensure compliance with sponsor and university guidelines.
Support post-award activities reporting and issue resolution.
Monitor budgets expenditures and financial reporting.
Work with faculty funding agencies and internal offices.
Assist with subawards routing forms and documentation.
Provide general administrative support for research projects.

Salary: $59921 to commensurate (Pay Grade: 4A)
Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
May require occasional overtime.
Work Location: On-Site; a hybrid/remote work arrangement may be considered upon completion of training and will be at the discretion of the supervisor with consideration of institutional needs.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or equivalent or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience is required.
1-year relevant experience working with externally funded grants and grant submissions.
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to develop maintain and strengthen working relationships.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel (or equivalent).
Excellent independent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple and concurrent tasks within deadlines.
HIGHLY Desirable Qualifications:
Experience with post award grant management including subawards and grant projections.
Experience with NIH Grants policy and procedures
Desirable Qualifications:
Experience with Cayuse proposal submission system.
Experience with NIH eRA Commons as a delegate.
Experience with University of Iowa Routing Forms.
Experience with NIH RPPRs.
Experience with NIH Training Grants and Training Grant Tables.
