With decades of proven experience in the field Baker Hughes provides a full range of solutions covering design and supply of equipment plants modules and special processes for oil and gas treatment sulfur recovery and acid gas removal. Our own gas-treatment innovations include Claus units tail gas treatment with High Claus Ratio (HCR) technology and sulfur degassing. We provide customized engineering solutions for project-specific challenges and our references include design and supply of the largest natural gas treatment plants for international transmission.
Be involved in exciting and original projects
You will be preparing proposals/bids as well as being involved in contract negotiation and compliance with contract commitments and commercial risk assessment. You will analyze the technical commercial and contractual tender documents for the correct definition of the purpose of the work. You will identify the risk elements and measures for their mitigation. You will develop propose and implement offering strategies and winning technical solutions in accordance with time and budget with the help of Process and Engineering departments.
As a Proposals Specialist you will be responsible for:
Coordinating the Process and Engineering departments for the implementation of the Proposal Documentation in due time (PFD Equipment List Plot Plan MTO etc)coordinating with SubContracts for the fabrication or erection activities when necessary.
Developing the price structure and filling / completing the cost estimate of the Project and discussing it with Board for margin and price definition.
Keeping in touch with the Client during bidding stage and coordinating with Sales if necessary.
Preparing and collecting hand-over documentation for the transfer of the project information developed during the bid phase to the Project Team in case of Contract Award.
Assisting with customer negotiations. Identifies new opportunities with functional partners to develop new products and services for business growth.
Handling complex products and systems requiring technical knowledge and knowledge of the environment where the products or systems will be used. Products and systems are client specific and require technical analysis and system design to fit client conditions.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college in a technical field.
Have experience as an Application / Proposal Engineer.
Be a good communicator and be fluent in English
Have experience related to Industrial plant projects..
Be able to document plan market and execute programs. Established project management skills.
Knowledge of the main technical standards of the Oil & Gas market (a plus but not mandatory) and of the administrative and legal aspects related to contracts and sales.
Knowledge of typical market contractual forms (PMC EPC EP EPCM).
Be able to demonstrate computer skills and be familiar with MS Office
