VHIR offers one position for a Predoctoral Researcher within the Infectious Disease Department / HIV lab. The PhD student will work on a research project related to the immune response to HIV infection.
Education and qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelors and masters degree in Biosciences (Biology Immunology Microbiology Biotechnology Biochemistry or related disciplines)
- Experience in Molecular Biology Cell Culture and Flow Cytometry techniques
- English is required
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
- Experience working in a BLS2 lab
- Experience working with human tissues
- Knowledge of flow cytometry and cell culture with primary cells
- Ability to work independently
Main responsibilities and duties:
- Designing planning and executing experiments of research projects.
- Analyzing and interpreting experimental data.
- Writing and submitting research papers to peer-reviewed journals.
- Presenting research findings at conferences.
Labour conditions:
- Full-time position: 40h/week
- Starting date: November 2025
- Gross annual salary: According to the FPI call.
