Job Summary

RN- Medical Surgical Float Pool (Permanent Role)

Location: Gainesville FL 32601

Shift: 12-hr Days 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM

Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)

Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as a patient and family advocate ensuring privacy and confidentiality.
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop accurate nursing diagnoses.
Deliver individualized evidence-based care plans and continuously evaluate their effectiveness.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Adapt to different unit environments while maintaining high standards of care.
Promote continuous quality improvement and best practices in nursing care.

Qualifications:

Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of recent (within the last 2 years) acute care Medical-Surgical RN experience (required).
- Experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).
- Willingness and flexibility to float across multiple units (required).
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (required).
Licensure & Certifications:
- Current RN license in the State of Florida or compact licensure.
- If Florida is not your primary state on a multi-state license you must establish Florida as primary within 90 days of hire or residency.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Additional Requirements:
- Must pass AHCA Level 2 background screening and fingerprinting.
