Job Description

JOB TITLE: Avionics/Electrical Technician II - Weekend Days
LOCATION: Savannah GA
PAY RATE: $32.18/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

  • Perform operational testing and troubleshooting of avionics and aircraft systems.

  • Install and test electrical/avionics components per engineering specifications drawings and maintenance manuals.

  • Ensure installations are defect-free and troubleshoot to provide timely high-quality repairs.

  • Repair or replace defective components and wiring using splicing soldering and pinning techniques.

  • Implement engineering changes and modifications as required.

  • Set up and operate test equipment; conduct functional and operational tests to verify performance and reliability.

  • Document all work accurately for inspection.

  • Maintain test equipment electronic systems and components.

  • Follow FOD tool control 5S and safety programs.

  • Adapt to schedule changes as needed.

  • Support aircraft certification and final-phase testing including flight tests as required.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Four (4) years of experience in avionics/electrical field or two (2) years of accredited aviation electronics schooling plus two (2) years related experience

  • A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred

  • FCC and NCATT certifications preferred

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting other aircraft systems (hydraulics landing gear flight controls environmental controls structural installations) is preferred.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be able to climb stairs/ladders work in confined spaces and lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
