Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Handyman to join our team in Anantara Stanley and Livingstone Victoria Falls Hotel Zimbabwe. As a Handyman you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure our facilities are in excellent condition. This role requires a practical approach attention to detail and the ability to handle diverse maintenance challenges efficiently.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings and grounds to identify maintenance needs
- Perform basic carpentry work including repairs to doors windows and furniture
- Handle plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks unclogging drains and repairing fixtures
- Carry out electrical work including replacing light fixtures outlets and switches
- Complete painting projects for both interior and exterior surfaces
- Undertake general repairs and maintenance tasks as needed
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies
- Maintain an organized inventory of tools and supplies
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and safety regulations
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff and contractors when necessary
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in maintenance or a related field
- Proficiency in basic carpentry plumbing electrical work and painting
- Strong skills in general repairs and maintenance
- Expertise in using various hand and power tools
- Knowledge of building systems and preventive maintenance practices
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Victoria Falls Zimbabwe
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong time management and organizational abilities
- Good communication skills in English
- Flexibility to work evenings weekends or on-call when required
- Relevant trade certifications are preferred
