Job Description
The Facility Groundskeeper for our Dolton IL facility is responsible for maintaining the appearance safety and functionality of facility grounds. This role ensures that all outdoor areas including lawns landscapes walkways and parking areas are well-kept clean and safe for employees visitors and guests.
Shift: 1st Shift
Pay: $22hr.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine grounds maintenance including mowing trimming edging pruning raking and mulching.
Plant water fertilize and maintain flowers shrubs and trees.
Remove litter debris and hazardous materials from facility grounds.
Maintain walkways driveways and parking areas by sweeping blowing leaves shoveling snow and applying salt/de-icer as needed.
Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as lawn mowers trimmers leaf blowers snow removal tools and power equipment.
Perform basic irrigation system maintenance and repairs.
Assist with outdoor facility projects such as fence repairs signage upkeep and small landscaping improvements.
Monitor grounds for potential safety hazards and report or correct issues promptly.
Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with facility standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices policies and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
- Perform preventative maintenance troubleshooting disassembling repairing and reassembling parts as necessary;
- Testing mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers specifications;
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Welding and fabrication of necessary parts to maintain working order;
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Plant maintenance experience in one of the following areas: preventative maintenance installations basic welding knowledge basic electrical knowledge.
- Ability to work on weekends and overtime;
- Ability to pass a mechanical aptitude test;
- Ability to meet physical demands of the position including movements such as lifting bending reaching climbing and the manipulating and handling of objects.
