We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Officer to join our team in Riyadh Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our organizations HSE standards ensuring compliance with local and international regulations and fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
- Develop implement and monitor HSE policies procedures and programs to ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian and international standards
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Investigate incidents accidents and near-misses preparing detailed reports and implementing preventive measures
- Design and deliver comprehensive HSE training programs for employees at all levels of the organization
- Manage and maintain environmental management systems including waste management and sustainability initiatives
- Collaborate with management to establish and track key HSE performance indicators
- Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Stay up-to-date with changes in HSE regulations and best practices adapting company policies accordingly
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and represent the company during HSE inspections and audits
- Prepare and present HSE reports to senior management highlighting areas for improvement and celebrating successes
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety Environmental Science or a related field
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in HSE roles preferably in industrial or construction settings
- Relevant HSE certifications such as NEBOSH OSHA or equivalent
- In-depth knowledge of Saudi Arabian HSE regulations and international standards
- Proficiency in HSE software and data management tools
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and regulations
- Excellent risk assessment and management capabilities
- Proven experience in incident investigation and reporting
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively train and educate employees at all levels
- Familiarity with environmental management systems and sustainability practices
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are highly desirable
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and adapt to changing priorities
