The Trauma Burn and Injury Prevention Data Coordinator is responsible for data entry within the CM trauma registry and the CM burn registry in compliance with the National Trauma Data Bank (NTDB) and American Burn Association (ABA) inclusion criteria to identify trauma and burn patients. This individual will be responsible for all data entered into the burn registry and will be responsible for clinical oversite of complex trauma cases requiring entry into the trauma registry. This individual will work closely with all members of the trauma burn and injury prevention teams to ensure that data entered is valid and easily accessible for PI QI research programming etc. They will be responsible for ABA report submission and ABA burn center verification registry requirements. They will demonstrate knowledge of data analysis and quality improvement in performance of duties. This individual is responsible for International Classification of Disease (ICD) Procedure Coding System (PCS) and Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) coding for all CM trauma and burn charts for accurate injury severity score diagnosis procedures mechanisms of injury codes etc. while employing all regulations and guidelines set forth by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) and ABA.

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $31.50/hr but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
This position is not eligible to work remotely which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Childrens Mercy locations and may not work from home.
