Job Summary

Job Purpose:

To ensure the continuous and efficient operation of all electrical and mechanical infrastructure within the data centre. The role involves monitoring maintenance troubleshooting and emergency response to support mission-critical systems in a high-availability environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily monitoring and maintenance of all MEP (Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing) systems including UPS generators switchgear chillers CRAH units and BMS.
  • Respond to alarms and faults diagnose root causes and implement corrective actions to restore normal operations.
  • Execute and verify preventive and corrective maintenance tasks as per SOPs EOPs and MOPs.
  • Conduct site inspections walk-throughs and BMS monitoring to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
  • Supervise and coordinate with vendors and contractors during major maintenance or installation activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities incidents and system performance.
  • Ensure compliance with health safety and environmental regulations especially when working with energized equipment.
  • Participate in testing and commissioning of new systems and upgrades.
  • Support energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives within the facility.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 35 years of experience in data centre or critical infrastructure environments.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems including MV/LV electrical systems chillers pumps and fuel systems.
  • Familiarity with Uptime Institute Tier standards and TIA-942-B.
  • Proficiency in BMS and CAFM systems.
  • Experience with LOTO procedures emergency shutdowns and redundancy management.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
  • Willingness to work in shifts and be on-call for emergencies.

Preferred Skills:

  • CAD/Revit proficiency for reviewing and updating technical drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with international codes and standards (e.g. NFPA ASHRAE IEC).
