The Resource Planner facilitates creation of the Frontline installation resource strategy and implements it through resource allocations. He/She ensures the efficient and optimized utilization of installation resources. He/she manages the pools of resources in close collaboration with Delivery Operations Managers Project Managers and Installation Supervisors making sure that resources are allocated proactively on the jobs. He/she ensures that the capacity demand is actively communicated with subcontractors allowing them to plan their activities early enough and confirm resource availability. He/she is accountable for the capacity knowing team competences and optimised deployment/allocation of the installation resources (people hoists and method tools). He/she ensures that resource supply is well aligned with the overall FL S&OP planning process. Role holder may also be assigned the Sales & Operations Planning Manager role depending on unit needs and estimated workload.
Resource management and allocation
Facilitate FL installation resource strategy creation. Implement strategy through optimal resource allocations.
Convert agreed demand plan for future quarters into Installation resource requirements including FL KONE resources local subcontractors international subcontractors and KONE pools.
Indicate cross-border installation resource needs to area level
Communicate resource requirement forecasts to local subcontractors and request volume commitment.
Allocate mid-term Installation resources of FL KONE installers local subcontractors international subcontractors and KONE pools based on local supervisor needs within frontline.
Explore options to solve resource gaps
Escalate status of unresolved short-term installations resource risk to short-term forecast (e.g. RUSH reporting) to unit management delivery operations managers and installation supervisors.
Confirm frontline installation capacity
Allocate subcontractor resources for supervisors or assign resources to jobs in installation resource management tool.
Maintain supplier data in installation resource management tool
Promote proactive and transparent resource planning analyse deviations and maintain visibility to subcontracting ratio of the unit.
Support delivery operations managers and supervisors in using applicable planning tools and methods.
Provide requirements for selecting suitable suppliers to fulfil the demand (on product and project level) in collaboration with local & area sourcing
Subcontractor collaboration
Responsibility for face-to-face meetings with selected subcontractors for ensuring that resource plans are executed properly
Area collaboration
Responsible for communicating transparent and up to date status of resourcing in the unit
Responsible for gathering and issuing accurate schedule for additional capacity needs and release of the teams.
Local legislation in subcontracting
Ensure visibility to subcontractor workforce time limits to work in FL country Ensure all local country requirements are fulfilled (e.g. taxation collective agreements etc) in collaboration with local legal organization Help suppliers during and after supplier ramp up related to all country legislation
