Max Speed USA is a high-performance transmission and torque converter shop based in Houston TX. We pride ourselves on quality precision and customer satisfaction. With a growing workload and expanding team were looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Shop Operations Manager to keep our shop running like a well-oiled machine.
Position Overview:
The Shop Operations Manager will oversee daily shop operations track all jobs from start to finish monitor inventory and hold all staff accountable to company procedures. This person will serve as the link between management and the shop floor ensuring efficiency accuracy and integrity in all business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Job Tracking: Record every job coming in and going out of the shop ensuring all details are logged in the system.
- Inventory Management: Monitor track and reconcile all parts and products daily. Prevent loss and ensure proper documentation for every part used.
- Accountability: Enforce company policies with managers mechanics and other staff to maintain compliance.
- Workflow Oversight: Ensure jobs are scheduled prioritized and completed on time.
- System Management: Verify that all work orders invoices and parts usage are entered into the system accurately.
- Reporting: Provide daily and weekly reports to the owner on jobs inventory and shop performance.
- Process Improvement: Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend solutions for smoother workflow.
- Staff Coordination: Work closely with shop managers and mechanics to ensure alignment on job priorities and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in operations management preferably in an automotive or repair shop setting.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to enforce policies consistently.
- Experience with inventory management systems and job tracking software.
- Ability to multitask and handle high-volume environments.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred:
- Background in automotive transmissions or mechanical work.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary $60000 $75000 annually depending on experience.
